Whitney Guthrie
Vocals, Keys

A passionate, dynamic, and talented singer with years of classical training, Whitney is a relative newcomer to the rock world...which hasn't stopped her from setting stages on fire every time! Her love for theatrics and knack for writing dramatic lyrics makes her the perfect frontwoman for our "opera"tion!

Thom Guthrie
Bass, Vocals

Music is like a maypole.  One ribbon or twenty, you have to anchor it or there will be a tragedy.

Thom's greatest joy in life is making sure the hole is deep and the concrete is mixed correctly.

Jeff Carpenter
Guitar, Vocals

Jeff has been obsessed with the guitar buying his first cheap acoustic guitar from Daddy’s Junky Music when at age 14.

Having been self-taught for most of his playing career, his passion and dedication to the instrument was renewed when he connected with the amazing Connecticut-based musician Frank Natter for lessons (Face Arts Music in Deep River, CT). This led to Jeff home-recording cover songs and honing his rhythm and lead play. Pulling from inspirations ranging from Django Reinhardt to Mark Knopfler to Jeff Beck to Dean Ween, Jeff brings elements of experimental rock, to shimmering soundscapes, to soaring ‘guitar hero’ leads and solos, to in-the-pocket rhythm playing.

Once a shy new member of the band (with shorter hair…and a pitifully small pedal board), Jeff has found his home as a member of The Gleeful Conspiracy. Jeff truly comes alive on stage bringing out the energy and soul of The Gleeful Conspiracy's sound to the audience.

Mike Keyes
Drums

Mike grew up listening to easy listening on his parents' radio. In 1992, he took up drums and cut his teeth playing with a variety of New York musicians.
once in Connecticut, he started playing with local outfits like Fivewise, Oberon Rose, Mawwal, Metacomet, and Shorebreak (among others.)

When he's not busy drumming, Mike listens to anything from pop to classical to metal to cinematic scores.
